Historically, mullein leaves have been used to tone the respiratory system by reducing mucus and helping to expectorate it. It contains mucilages and saponins which give it some of its expectorant, emollient, mucolytic, softening and healing properties for the lungs. It also has the property of circulating the lymph by making it more fluid and more liquid, which helps to reduce congestion such as edema, inflammation of the lymph nodes and mastitis.

• Non-medicinal: alcohol, spring water.
